Introduction of SX-80 ultrasonic plasma spraying equipment

Procedure :when the plasma spray is working,there is a direct electricity arc which is formed  between the cathode and anode(nozzle’s ),this electricity arc heats the working gas to ionize into high temperature plasma, then the plasma is sprayed from the nozzle  to form plasma flame.The powder is delivered to the flame by the powder feeding gas,then it's  melted,accelerated,then sprayed on the substrate to form a coating.The working gas can be argon,nitrogen, or mixed with hydrogen,or argon and helium’s mixture gas.

Ultrasonic plasma spray characteristic:

(1)It can spray many kinds of coating material,especial to spray high melting point refractory material,such as refractory metal,ceramic,metal ceramic and other special functional material.

(2),The inert gas can be working medium,which can reduces the flying coating particle’s oxidization.

(3)The coating has high adhesive force,low porosity.It can make fine coating by controlling the technical parameter.

Configuration of SX-80 plasma spraying equipment

SX-80 absorbs the experiences of PT-A3000 and METCO-9M plasma spray equipment and its performance is equivalent to METCO-9M. It mainly consists of main power supply, control cabinet, transfer box, powder feeder, spray gun and heat exchanger.

1. Intelligent control system

The intelligent control system is the control center of the whole set of equipmentFeatures of SX-80 human machine interface intelligent control system SX-80 human machine interface intelligent control system, The plasma spraying system has the advanced level of foreign similar products,superior performance and convenient operation. The control cabinet adopts PLC touch type control terminal, which integrates operation, setting, help, display, process and fault alarm monitoring. It simplifies the panel design, is convenient to use, and is more simple and intuitive to operate.

2. Gas safety center

(special note: because H2 gas is a flammable and explosive dangerous gas, and mass flowmeter is an electrical component, there is a risk of combustion and explosion when electric spark is generated. Therefore, the independent "water, electricity and safety center" specially manufactured and developed by our company provides safety guarantee function for the use of equipment.)

3. SX-80 transfer box

The transfer box is the transfer center of this plasma spraying equipment. It links power supply, control cabinet, heat exchanger and spray gun together. There are high frequency ignition , waterway and gas circuit alarming devices inside this box. The transfer box is moveable, with standard 5 meter long water-cooled cable.It mixes the water and electricity and sends them to the spray gun,meanwhile it offers high frequency impulse voltage which is needed when the spray gun forms the arc,and tests spay gun’s returned water’s temperature and cooled water’s pressure.It’s easy and flexible,easy to draw,is good at forming arc ,and can reduces the moment currency’s  impact when the nozzle is forming arc.

4. SG100 spray gun

We can offer customer SG100 spray gun, using argon or nitrogen as main gas, hydrogen as secondary gas. The working current of spray gun: 100-800A. The working voltage: Ar+H2: 50-75V, N2+H2: 50-80V. We provide the following spray gun accessories for  our customer: spray nozzle, powder and cooling air jetting shelf, water-cooled cable, electrode tip, insulator, sealing ring, and other special tools.

5. SX-80 main power supply  

Silicon controlled rectifier, maximum power input: 85KW, arcing time factor: 100%, plus or minus 15% Grid fluctuation, Maximum power output: 80KW. It can work normally under Current fluctuating range: 1~2%. The power supply provides DC current for spray gun. It is controlled by intelligent module, working 24 hours without breakdown. It is the best plasma power supply in China.

6. Intelligent powder feeder

(1)PLC and touch screen are used to set parameters to precisely control powder feeding accuracy and speed.

(2)The system consists of two sets of independent powder feeding devices. The capacity of the large tank is 20 liters, and the speed of the scraper-type powder feeding is 150 g/min. The small tank adopts the drum-type powder feeding device, which is suitable for feeding various ultra-fine powder and hard-to-deliver powder mixtures.

(3)Fully enclosed plastic-steel chassis, free from environmental disturbance such as temperature and humidity, transparent glass door, powder feeding state at a glance.

7. SX-80 water chiller

Heat exchanger is also called refrigerator or water chiller. We use double motors compressor to make this machine smaller and save space for our customer. The spray gun is cooled down by water, and we use heat exchanger to cool down the high temperature water coming from spray gun, and then use these cooled water  to cool down the spray gun again. In this way the spray gun can keep a normal working temperature and prolong the usage life of spray nozzle.

The range of testing temperature is -4.9℃-94.9℃,dispraying resolution ratio is 0.1℃,controling sensitivity is 0.1℃,offset range is -0.5℃—10℃,used in AC220V input.the instrument use condition:relative humidity less than 90%RH,the temperature is within 0—45℃ with no  corrosion and water-proof.
